Welcome to Axis, I’m Jorge.

Axis Exercise Physiology is owned and operated by Jorge Castro Cabrera. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science from Central Queensland University and has completed a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Charles Sturt University. He is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist registered with ESSA.

Over the past 18 years Jorge has worked in areas of strength & conditioning, corporate health, government, mining sector, workplace health/ injury rehabilitation/ management and prevention. He has also worked with clients presenting with acute/sub-acute chronic conditions and disabilities.

Jorge believes that exercise intervention at the correct intensity and duration, not only improves quality of life but can decrease the incidence and help manage many health conditions such as obesity, heart disease, dementia, and mental health.
